Thursdays are PLC days. During this time teachers practice their PLC norms, collaborate with each other on improving lessons, conducting kid talks, and data digs. Also every nine weeks, each grade level receives a full day to plan, review lessons and assessments for the upcoming quarter. During this time my role is to review the PLC agenda, review data, provide support when needed and ensure teachers are going into the right direction with their discussions. |

I had the opportunity to be part of the interview committee. During my time I assisted in interviewing for: math teacher, art teacher, and an assistant principal. After each interview we would have a group discussion about the candidate and why we felt they would or would not be a good choice for our students. |
Element 4c. Teacher and Staff Evaluation: The school executive evaluates teachers and other staff in a fair and equitable manner with the focus on improving performance and, thus student achievement.
