A principal will design structures and processes that result in community engagement, support, and ownership. Acknowledging that schools no longer reflect but, in fact, build community, the leader proactively creates with staff, opportunities for parents/guardians, community and business representatives to participate as “stockholders” in the school such that continued investment of resources and good will are not left to chance.

I attended town hall meeting sponsored by superintendent, Pascal Mubenga to share his vision of academic excellence for all DPS students, presenting his “Four Guiding Principles."

At Easley, I serve as the MTSS Facilitator, and Testing Coordinator. My responsibilities as the MTSS Facilitator are to update student files and systems to ensure that all students are receiving the support that they need to be successful in the classroom. As the Testing Coordinator, I create schedules, systems, and staff training to ensure that testing sessions run smoothly.
